2 women found dead in park with child covered in blood, AMBER Alert for missing infant
CLOVIS, N.M. (KVII) — Two women were found dead in a New Mexico park with a child covered in blood, and an AMBER Alert was issued for a missing infant.
Around 4:30 p.m., an anonymous person called 911 after finding two dead women at Ned Houk Park, which is located about five miles north of Clovis. The victims were identified as Samantha Cisneros, 23, and Taryn Allen, 23, from Texico, New Mexico.
Police said both of the women had been shot and were laying near a silver Dodge minivan.
Cisneros' 5-year-old daughter was covered in blood from a head injury. She was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center and then transferred to a hospital in Lubbock.
Officers found an infant car seat, an infant stroller and a small baby bottle left. They believe Cisneros' 10-month-old child, Eleia Maria Torres, was abducted by the murder suspect.
An AMBER Alert was issued for Torres.
According to New Mexico State Police, Torres is 28 inches tall and weighs 23 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. The suspect could be driving a maroon Honda.
Clovis Deputy Police Chief Trevor Thron said investigators had “no clue” what led to the deaths.
We do know they were supposed to be at Walmart, from what family members knew, selling puppies,” Thron said. “They had five puppies inside their vehicle at Ned Houk. Everybody thought they were at Walmart with the puppies.
