Man arrested following shots fired incident at Blair County bar
Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — Altoona police say one man is in custody following a shots fired incident at a Blair County bar Thursday evening.
Police say just before 8 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to Andy's Bar, located along 4th Street in Altoona, for reports of shots being fired.
Upon further investigation, police learned that two patrons had reportedly been involved in a verbal altercation, both inside and outside the bar.
Police say once outside, the suspect, David Adams, reportedly brandished a firearm and fired one shot in the direction of the victim.
Authorities say the victim allegedly "retreated" into the bar while Adams fled the scene in a vehicle.
Police say on Friday, Adams was located at the Relax Inn Motel, in Altoona, and was taken into custody without incident.
Authorities say he faces several charges, including aggravated assault and illegal firearms possession, and is awaiting arraignment.
